About

I started out technical. An ICT apprenticeship at a repair and service company, in-house repairs, phone support, on-site work. Three years of explaining things to people who did not have a technical background, and a pattern I kept running into: what was obvious to me was not obvious to them. Often enough that it stopped feeling like their problem.

That is why I chose business information systems over computer science. I wanted to sit on the side where the translating happens, and I wanted to do it with people in the room rather than alone at a screen.
